1. Introduction
Thank you for using Gallery – Photo Vault & Album (“the App”, “we”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use its core features.
2.2 Photos and Videos (Local Only)
The App requests permission to read and write photos and videos stored on your device. This data is:
- Processed entirely on your device
- Never uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers
- Used solely to display, organize, edit, and manage your media files
The Secure Vault feature moves files to a protected folder on your device’s local storage. These files remain on your device at all times.
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
Certain information is collected automatically by third-party SDKs integrated into the App (see Section 4):

3. How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
- Fix bugs – Crash reports help us identify and resolve technical issues
- Improve the App – Usage analytics guide feature development
- Send notifications – Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers app updates and announcements (only with your permission)
- Serve advertisements – Ad network SDKs may display personalized or non-personalized ads to support the free app
- Configure the App remotely – Firebase Remote Config lets us update settings without a full app update
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties outside of what is disclosed in this policy.
4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy and may collect and process data independently.
4.1 Google Firebase
Firebase is a platform by Google LLC used for analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and remote configuration.

4.2 Google AdMob
AdMob is Google’s mobile advertising platform. It may collect your Advertising ID and device information to serve personalized or contextual ads.

4.3 Meta Audience Network (Facebook)
Meta Audience Network is an advertising platform by Meta Platforms, Inc. It may collect device identifiers and behavioral data to serve targeted ads.

4.4 AppLovin
AppLovin is an advertising and marketing platform by AppLovin Corporation. It uses device and behavioral data to serve personalized ads and measure campaign performance.

4.5 Vungle (Liftoff Monetize)
Vungle, now operating as Liftoff Monetize under Liftoff Mobile, Inc., is a performance advertising platform specializing in video ads. It collects device and usage data to serve and optimize video advertisements.
- Data collected: Advertising ID, device identifiers (manufacturer, model, OS), IP address, app activity, video ad interaction data (view duration, completion rate, clicks), network connection type, time zone

- Data Processing: Liftoff may process data in the United States and other countries
- Opt out: Use your device’s “Opt out of Ads Personalization” (Android) or “Limit Ad Tracking” (iOS) setting
5. Advertising and Your Choices
The App is free to use and is supported by advertising. Our integrated ad networks may serve two types of ads:
- Personalized ads – Based on your interests, past app activity, and Advertising ID
- Non-personalized (contextual) ads – Based only on the content and context of the App, not your personal profile
You can limit personalized advertising at any time:
On Android:
Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
(Android 12+: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID)
Opting out does not remove ads from the App — it means ads may be less relevant to you.
6. Permissions We Request

We request only the permissions necessary to provide the App’s features. We do not access your contacts, microphone, camera, or location.
7. Data Storage and Security
- Your media files remain on your device at all times and are never transmitted to us.
- Crash and analytics data is transmitted securely to Google Firebase servers using HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- The Secure Vault uses a user-set passcode stored locally on device. We do not have access to your passcode or vaulted files.
- Ad network SDKs transmit data to their respective servers over encrypted connections.
- We implement industry-standard security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

9. International Data Transfers
The App integrates SDKs from companies headquartered primarily in the United States. By using the App, you acknowledge that data collected by these SDKs may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries whose data protection laws may differ from those in your country. These transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law (such as Standard Contractual Clauses under GDPR).
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.
All ad network integrations are configured for general audiences. No child-directed ad treatment has been separately configured.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data collected about you
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability – receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Opt out of personalized advertising (via device settings)
- Withdraw consent to push notifications (via device Settings → Notifications)
To exercise rights over data held by third-party SDKs (Firebase, Meta, AppLovin, Vungle), please contact those providers directly using the links in Section 4. For any other requests, contact us at the email address in Section 13.
12. Regional Disclosures
California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA. Ad networks integrated into the App may share data with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, which may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under California law. You may opt out by using the “Opt out of Ads Personalization” setting on your device.
European Economic Area, UK & Switzerland (GDPR)
Our legal basis for processing data via third-party SDKs is legitimate interest (analytics, crash reporting, app improvement) and consent (personalized advertising, where required). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via a push notification or an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
